The Leonardo Winner is again determined by a points system for the distance travelled over the 2 days of the competition. The Gadget Show had 2 individual craft and therefore each crafts points have been counted separately. Again the 2008 Winner Dr Bill Brooks retained his crown.

The judges sat Monday morning to discuss the weekend’s event and by a unanimous vote the funniest birdman moment was
- John Wyles with his somersaulting scooter as seen on Saturday.

This prize is awarded to the furthest flight over the 2 days of the competion.
